ASÓÉLAN at Arts in the Heart of Augusta: A Weekend of Fashion, Culture & Community
We Took ASÓ ÉLAN to Augusta… Here’s How It Went
This past weekend, ASÓ ÉLAN packed up the prints, the color, the statement pieces, and headed to Augusta, Georgia, for Arts in the Heart of Augusta.
And what a weekend it was.
There’s something completely different about meeting the people who usually experience ASÓ ÉLAN through a screen. Online, you see the photographs, the Reels and the finished looks. But in person? You get to touch the fabrics, see the movement of each piece, try things on and experience African fashion up close.
That was exactly what we wanted to bring to Augusta.

Bringing a Little ASÓ ÉLAN to Booth 310
Our booth was filled with pieces that represent exactly what ASÓ ÉLAN is about: bold African prints, beautiful silhouettes and clothes designed to be worn with confidence.
From flowing boubous and kaftans to statement skirts, jackets and easy-to-style separates, we brought a mix of pieces for women who aren’t afraid of a little color, or a lot of it.
And seeing shoppers stop, look, come closer and start exploring the collection was one of our favorite parts of the weekend.
Because sometimes a photograph simply can’t show you everything a garment has to offer.
You have to see it move.
Watch the reel.
And Then Our Élan Women Showed Up 🥹
One of the sweetest moments of the weekend was seeing women who already own ASÓ ÉLAN arrive at our booth wearing their pieces.

There is something special about watching a design go from an idea, to fabric, to a finished garment, and eventually become part of another woman’s wardrobe.
Seeing our customers style their ASÓ ÉLAN pieces their own way reminded us exactly why we do this.
And yes… some of them still left with something new. 😂

African Fashion Belongs Everywhere
Just before the festival, we talked on the ASÓ ÉLAN blog about why African fashion is everyday fashion.
This weekend felt like another reminder of that.
African fashion doesn’t have to be saved for weddings, cultural celebrations or special occasions. It can be the incredible jacket you throw over jeans. The statement skirt you wear with a simple white tee. The kaftan you reach for when you want to look put together without trying too hard.
Watching so many different women discover, try on and style our pieces in Augusta brought that idea to life.
Our clothes may begin with African textiles and craftsmanship, but where you take them is entirely up to you.
More Than Just a Fashion Weekend
Arts in the Heart of Augusta brought together art, food, music, culture, creativity and people from so many different backgrounds.
For ASÓ ÉLAN, being part of that environment felt especially fitting.
We are a fashion brand, yes. But behind every print is a textile tradition. Behind every garment are hands that made it. And behind ASÓ ÉLAN is a desire to celebrate African creativity in a way that feels modern, wearable and at home wherever our Élan women happen to be.
This weekend, that place was Augusta.

Augusta, Thank You 🤎
To everyone who stopped by Booth 310, tried something on, purchased a piece, complimented an outfit, brought a friend, took a photo, followed us or simply stopped for a conversation, thank you!
And to our existing Élan women who came out to support us, you made the weekend even more special.
We came to Augusta with racks full of clothes.
We left with new customers, new connections, beautiful memories and even more excitement about where ASÓ ÉLAN is going next.
Until the next city…
With love,
ASÓ ÉLAN
